Apps and Cash Back Links For Extra Money

I've downloaded and have been using a few apps to make extra money.  A lot of these apps let you choose your own reward such as Paypal, gift cards, or contest entries.  I prefer either Paypal payment or Amazon gift cards.  With the apps, I can use the same receipt for each one.

Here are the apps that I like:

ReceiptHog:  This app you scan in receipts.  It needs to have the Store name, address, items purchased, total amount, and date of purchase in order be a qualifying receipt.  Each receipt scanned gets you coins.  The more coins you earn, the closer you are to getting a money reward.  From what I've heard, there is currently a waitlist for this app.

Fetch Rewards:  This is another receipt scanning app for grocery stores only.  Same requirements as ReceiptHog.  They also offer high point specials if you buy certain brands. You get $2.00 to start as a new user.  I currently have enough for a $10 amazon gift card.

Ibotta: Most people have already heard of this one.  You download the app, click on the store that you plan to shop at, look at the cash back deals being offered and choose the ones you're going to use, shop for said items, then scan the receipt after.  Easy peasy and you can maximize your cash back by using coupons on items being purchased.  I earned $50 this weekend alone at just one store with only an out-of-pocket cost of $15 on items I was planning to purchase anyway.  I used coupons and Ibotta had a deal going where if you complete 5 offers, you get $5.00 in addition to the cash back for the purchases.

CoinOut:  Another receipt scanning app.  Look at offers, click the ones that you are going to complete, then scan the receipt.  This is a new one that I found out about yesterday.

Checkout51:  Another grocery scanning app.  This one pays out to Paypal as soon as your receipt is verified.  You also get a monthly entry to win a $500 gift card just for scanning one receipt and choosing the entry offer.

Shopkick:  An app where you can earn points or "kicks" from select retailers by purchasing certain items listed in the app, scanning certain items in store, and sometimes you get kicks just for walking in to a store.  This app is really easy, low effort way to earn gift cards.

For cash back while doing online shopping, surveys, watching videos, etc., these online links are easy to use.  Unlike the receipt apps above, these cashback sites only allow you to choose one to be used at a time when shopping.  Here are the sites I use:

Swagbucks:   This one is by far my favorite.  I've been doing swagbucks for several years now and average about $25.00-$50.00 a month in Amazon gift cards or Paypal cash outs.  If you have a lot of free time, you can make more.  I also suggest following the Swagbucks subreddit for tips and tricks to earn.  Be sure to add the swagbutton to your browser so you get a reminder if you happen to be on a site that offers swagbucks for purchases.  You'll also get a notice about free swagbuck codes throughout the day.  Offers $5.00 for new users that complete a few tasks.

Rakuten formerly known as Ebates:  Here's another cashback site that you can add to your browser and activate offers for certain shopping sites.  Offers $10.00 for new users that complete at least one purchase of at least $10.

TopCashBack:  Just like Rakuten, but they have a lot more fun activities like sweepstakes and great new user offers.  $10.00 for new users with a variety of different offers that may appeal to you more than Rakuten.
